About Us
Thank you for getting to know our small business in Louisa VA. We started this adventure in 2014 making wreaths as a hobby while living in a RV campground between moving from Maryland to Virginia. Our hobby and family started to grow soon after. To pass the time while pumping milk for our daughter Pyper, Lyndsye started making hairbows (affectionatley nicknamed Pump Bows). Jeff, in between house renovtion projects, discovered the fascinating world of Exotic woods and started making spoons and other craft items.
As we both love animals, we decided to get 4 chickens to have some fresh eggs. Little did we know how loving and fun those little raptors are, and now the Chicken Math (it's a real thing, look it up) adds up to a colorful diverse flock of 60ish chickens, 19 ducks, and 2 guineas. They love our protected woods to roam around and hide their eggs in random spots. Our two Great Pyrenese guards the flock when they're not sleeping and our 3 cats, well, are just being cats.
Lyndsye now makes unique and custom wreaths, centerpieces, hairbows, hairclips, wristlets, earrings, keychains and whatever rabbit hole of creativity she falls into.
Jeff is an Environmental Scientist who has years of remodeling houses just built our workshop and finally has time to get into the finer woodworking making spoons, cutting boards, pens, bottle openers, bowls, turned decorations, and milling lumber on our own sawmill.
Pyper follows in our footsteps, loves her little chickens and walks around carrying her favorite ones, collects the eggs, helps out around the farm, and loves on her cats and dogs. She's also quite the helper in the workshop helping with making resins and finishing spoons and pens, and painting.
So that's how we came up with the name of our business, our birds are free ranging as well as our crafty ideas and interests. Come check us out on the many craft shows and farmers markets in central Virginia where we sell our homemade crafts and eggs. Feel free to ask us about fully custom and unique work as well..
